A special election to fill the 19th Congressional District seat that was left vacant by Rhinebeck’s Antonio Delgado after he was tapped by NYS Governor Kathy Hochul in May to take over as Lieutenant Governor will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 6 AM to 9 PM.

The two candidates running for this position are:

– Mark Molinaro (R), current Dutchess County Executive
– Patrick Ryan (D), current Ulster County Executive

All registered voters in the NY-19 Congressional District are eligible to vote.
The 19th Congressional District covers Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Schoharie,
Sullivan, and Ulster counties, as well as parts of Broome, Dutchess, Montgomery, and
Rensselaer counties.
