Online Branch Meeting And Social Hour
Dare Thompson Of League Of Women Voters To Speak
Are you ready to meet again to hear a good speaker and have a chance to socialize with other members? Are you getting anxious for news on how the elections will play out this year? AAUW Kingston will host a a Zoom event on Wednesday, September 16 at 3 PM. We have invited Dare Thompson from the League of Women Voters to be our guest speaker.
Dare will talk about the upcoming elections and clarify voting procedures, including absentee voting, early voting, and onsite voting. Dare, who has served since 2016 on the NY Women’s Suffrage Commission chaired by Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, will give us a few lesser-known details about the movement as we celebrate 100 years of ratification. There will be time for questions and to socialize in smaller breakout rooms.
