Thursday, 3/15: Bus trip to NYS Museum & Albany Institute

Join AAUW Kingston on a bus trip to see marvelous exhibits at two Albany museums,
featuring Votes for Women: Celebrating New York’s Suffrage Centennial at the NYS Museum

9 AM – Leave Kingston Plaza (Hannaford parking lot – the section near the ball field)

10:30 AM – Visit the Albany Institute of History & Art (entrance fee included in trip cost)
Current exhibits:
– Well-Dressed in Victorian Albany: 19th Century Fashion from the Albany Institute Collection
– The Hudson River School: Landscape Paintings from the Albany Institute
– Nineteenth-Century American Sculpture: Erastus Dow Palmer and His Protégés Launt Thompson, Charles Calverly, and Richard Park
– A Gather of Glass: Selections from the Museum’s Collection
– Ancient Egypt
– Traders and Culture: Colonial Albany and the Formation of American Identity

12 noon – Bus to NYS Museum

12:15 PM – Drop off at NYS Museum. Lunch on your own at the new onsite café (handicapped-accessible), or, cross the street for more choices on the Concourse

1:15 PM – Visit NYS Museum, featuring the Women’s Suffrage exhibit (free, donations accepted)

$45 for AAUW members, $50 for non-members
Includes comfortable bus, tip, & Art Institute entrance fee
